Tim Tebow and Wife Demi-Leigh Are Expecting Their First Child

As one publication put it, "Team Tebow" is expanding. Tim and Demi-Leigh Tebow announced on Jan. 14 that they are expecting their first child, telling People they are thrilled to embark on this new chapter of parenthood together. He is 37, she 29. They met in 2018 and married in January 2020. She is 16 weeks pregnant.
"We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together," Demi-Leigh told People.
The couple also shared the news on their Instagram channels.
Tim Tebow is an analyst on ESPN's SEC Network who rose to fame by winning the Heisman Trophy at the University of Florida while boldly sharing his Christian faith in public forums. He later played in the NFL. Demi-Leigh Tebow was Miss Universe in 2017. Each of them has authored books and dedicated themselves to championing various causes and charities, including the founding of the Tim Tebow Foundation, which defends the vulnerable. Her book, A Crown that Lasts, released last year.
"I'm so grateful because I just couldn't imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost," she told People. "To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I'm so grateful that Tim is my husband … that we get to do parenting together."
Tim Tebow said he has yet to fully grasp the news.
"But when I'm with her, and I see the belly growing, then it just becomes so real," he said.
She added, "I feel like every time I say, 'Tim's going to be a dad!' it feels so surreal."
The first three months of pregnancy, she said, were rough, although she's "feeling a lot better."
"The amount of tiredness that you feel is just unfathomable," she told People.
"I have loved being pregnant. … I have gained the absolute just new respect for moms, especially moms that are working."
Each of them took a moment to applaud the other.
"Our Savior gave us the ultimate amount of grace, and I see Tim live that out as a walking example every single day … that is something that will be so instrumental," she said.
Said Tim, of his wife being a mom, "She will be extremely loyal and loving. Demi is someone that is extremely determined. When she sets her mind to something, she goes all the way in -- and I know that she will do that as a mom, too."
