Will Ferrell’s go-to, favorite song will have you dancing and singing along. During an interview with fellow comedian Stephen Colbert, the popular funnyman revealed the one tune he could not live without. Music is one of a handful of things that is universally loved. It’s a lot like food in that way. Seriously, can you name someone who does not enjoy music? There are so many genres, sounds and styles that there is bound to be something for everyone. If you haven’t found a band, a musician or a kind of music you gravitate toward, you likely haven’t been looking hard enough.
While music is a wonderful thing and is adored and enjoyed by many worldwide, most people can likely name their absolute favorite tune. You know precisely what I’m talking about, too. It’s the song that immediately puts you in a good mood whenever and wherever you hear it. You can sing every lyric without even thinking about it; it’s almost become automatic, second nature at this point.
In a clip posted on social media, Stephen asks Will to name his go-to song.
“You only get to listen to one song for the rest of your life,” Stephen says. “OK, and it doesn’t mean you have to listen to it continually. But when you go to listen to music, this is what you hear. What is the song?
Without much delay, Will names Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” as his go-to, top song.
Immediately after answering with the popular 1980s song, Will starts singing the tune, and Stephen even joins in, making for a hilarious duet. The audience even joins in and sings a few lyrics.
