The Simple Way

The leaders of the G8 countries — the world's largest economic powers — are expected to make an announcement on a global food security initiative. But hunger isn't just a problem in the developing world. Approximately 1 in 6 Americans experience food insecurity, meaning they go hungry for at least some part of the year. Many efforts are organized through a non-profit Christian organization called The Simple Way -- self-described "ordinary radicals" who have lived in the area for some 15 years. Shane Claiborne, a co-founder of The Simple Way, joined some of his neighbors to share their story of a community in transformation.
